LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Michigan drivers are facing higher gas prices, with the statewide average nearing $5 per gallon, according to AAA.
The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Michigan is currently $4.76, up from $4.31 a week ago, AAA reports.
Prices are also varying across the region. Eaton County currently has the highest average gas price among the counties in the area, at $4.87 per gallon, according to AAA. Hillsdale County has the lowest average at $4.75 per gallon.
Diesel prices have climbed even higher. Michigan’s average diesel price reached a record $6.54 per gallon, up from $5.92 a week ago, according to AAA.
Nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is currently $4.44, according to AAA.
