70 Michigan Army National Guard soldiers return home from Central Command

GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WILX) – Seventy soldiers from the Michigan Army National Guard 3rd Battalion, 126th Infantry Regiment returned home after their deployment to Central Command was extended.
The soldiers are from communities across Michigan and reunited with their families upon arrival.
“It’s a great feeling. We got kind of extended a little longer than what we thought we were going to be. So it’s nice to be home and finally be able to celebrate with our families,” said Sgt. Francis Williams of the 3rd of the 126th Infantry.
Williams said he made it home in time for his daughter’s wedding in a couple of weeks.
The soldiers will take a break before returning to a new mission in the coming months.
