LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Flags across Michigan will be lowered Tuesday to honor former state Rep. Paul Clemente.
Clemente served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2011 to 2016. He died in April at the age of 62.
Tuesday would have marked Clemente’s 63rd birthday. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said Clemente was dedicated to supporting small businesses and workers across the state.
“State Representative Paul Clemente was dedicated to supporting communities Downriver and across the state,” Whitmer said. “As a former small business owner, he worked tirelessly to support small businesses and workers. He cared for Michiganders and worked every day to make our state a better place to live, work and raise a family. My thoughts are with his extended family, wife and kids.”
Flags will return to full staff on Wednesday.
