Election results: Mid-Michigan voters hit the polls Tuesday

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Voters in Mid-Michigan took to the polls Tuesday, deciding on a number of school and public safety bond proposals and millage renewals.
Now the polls are closed and results are rolling in.
Among the biggest issues on the ballot was the Ingham ISD’s Special Education Bond — a nearly $100 million proposal to build a new center-based special education school building.
As of 11:45 p.m., results were still rolling in, but with nearly 40,000 votes counted, the proposal was passing with about 54% of voters in favor of the measure.

Grand Ledge Area Fire Service Proposal shot down
Voters in Eaton County rejected a $22.5-million proposal to build and equip two new fire stations buy fire trucks and equipment.
