JanzenispartofateamledbyIllinoisshipwreckhunterPaulEhornthatwassearchingfortheluxurysteamer,whichsankinaLakeMichigangalein1872.
AndinOctoberof2022,theyfoundit.ShipwreckWorld,agroupdedicatedtofindinghistoricwrecksworldwide,announcedthediscoveryonFriday.
Whilethediscoveryhappenedyearsago,theannouncementwasdelayedbecausetheteamwantedtocreatea3Dmodeloftheship,butuncooperativeweatherandschedulingconflictspreventedadditionaldivestothewrecktogetmorefootage.
