LANSING–AthirdoftelemedicinepatientswithopioidusedisorderinMichiganhadtogowithouttheirrecoverymedicationbecauseoftroublefillingprescriptionsatapharmacy,accordingtoarecentstudy. Patientsweremostlikelytosaytheyhadtoforgobuprenorphine,amedicationthathelpspeoplerecoveringfromopioidaddictionavoidwithdrawalsymptoms,reducecravingsandpreventthemfromusingopioidsagain.
