DETROIT–Thewomanfacingchargesforherallegedroleinaforcedlaborandmoney-launderingconspiracyacrossmultiplestates,includingMichigan,wasarraignedinfederalcourtonTuesday.
MichelleBrannonandDavidTaylorwerearrestedonAug.27,2025,inNorthCarolinaandFloridainwhatfederalofficialscalledanationwidetakedownoftheirallegedforcedlabororganization.
AccordingtotheUnitedStatesAttorney’sOfficeoftheEasternDistrictofMichigan,Taylor,whoreferstohimselfas“Apostle,”andBrannon,hisexecutivedirector,aretheleadersofKingdomofGodGlobalChurch,formerlyJoshuaMediaMinistriesInternational.ThetwoareaccusedofvictimizingpeopleworkingatcallcentersthatsoliciteddonationsfortheirorganizationinMichigan,Florida,TexasandMissouri.
CourtdocumentsclaimthatTaylorreferstohimselfasanApostleand“Jesus’bestfriend.”Hereportedlyclaimedtohavehadmultipleface-to-faceencounterswithGodandthatGodhadgivenhimthekeystotheKingdomonEarth.
