AWisconsinboaterwhohuntsforsunkenwreckswithsatellitephotosdiscoveredashipthissummerthatcrashedandwentdownnearthecoastofLakeMichigannearly140yearsago. MattOlson,theownerofDoorCountyAdventureRafting,wasscoutingimagesofthelakewhenhespottedwhatwouldlaterbeconfirmedasthelong-lostFrankD.Barker,a137-footvesselbuiltin1867. In1887,themerchantshipdesignedfortransportinggrainwasoncoursefor Escanaba,Michigan,whenbadweatherstruck,causingtheshipbecamestrandedonnearbySpiderIsland.
