DETROIT (FOX 2) – Many people are waking up Friday to no power, with most outages concentrated in west Michigan, after severe storms moved across the state overnight.
StrongstormspummeledthestatefromlateThursdayuntiltheearlyhoursofFriday,promptingseverethunderstormwarnings,andeventornadowarningsforsomeareas.AsofFridaymorning,notornadotouchdownshavebeenconfirmed,butdamagefromstrongwindshasbeenreported.

ConsumersEnergypoweroutagesConsumersEnergy,whichservicesmuchofwestandmid-Michigan,includingareasheavilyhitalongLakeMichigan,isreporting187,353customerswithoutpowerasof6:43a.m.Friday–anumberthathasbeensteadilyrising.
Theutilitycompanysaidpartositsserviceareasexperienced70mphwinds,tornadosightings,andhail,accordingtoreports.
