Michigan school districts receive $10M to boost FAFSA completion

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Some schools in mid-Michigan are receiving funding to encourage students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) announced 67 school districts across the state will share $10 million.
Among them, Jackson Public Schools will receive more than $340,000, Corunna Public Schools in Shiawassee County will receive more than $99,000, and Howell Public Schools in Livingston County will receive more than $452,000.
MiLEAP is urging students and families who have not yet completed the FAFSA to apply online at FAFSA.gov.
