By two different measures, Leelanau County has had the state’s fastest growth in personal income since 2010 and the Great Recession.

Leelanau’s median household income grew 76% between 2010 and 2024, from $56,527 to $99,422, according to the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey five-year average.
