Hisnameconjuresupvisionsofcurrency.AndwhenthelateDr.WilliamV.BankspurchasedWGPR-TV,heandtheInternationalFreeandAcceptedModernMasons—thefraternalorganizationBanksfounded—neededtoraiseabout$2.7milliontoacquireandequipthestationforbroadcastingtoaDetroitaudience.
