Twotrollswereinstalledatnewparks,includingOrtenstoneGardensandSculpturePark,whichopenedon50-plusacresalongHwy.10nearLakeDetroit.TwohorsesfromMontanasculptorJimDolanwereaddedtothepropertylatein2024,andOlgaZiemska,anOhioartistknownforlarge-scalesculptures,willbethereforaresidencyfrommid-Maytomid-June,creatinganewpermanentpiece.
ThreeofZiemska’ssculpturesfromChicago‘sMortonArboretumwillalsobeondisplayforayear.Theyincludeaheadsheathedwithstonesandawomanwithlonghairmadefromtwigsthatseemstoblowinthewind.
Thesculpturegardens,alongwithdowntown‘sWashingtonSquareMallandBeckerCountyMuseum,willmount55reproductionsofCharleyHarper‘sminimalistnatureartbyMemorialDayweekend,incollaborationwiththeMuséumdeToulouseinFrance.
