Bills would up Michigan hunting, fishing license fees and require vehicle park passes

LANSING, MI – Michigan lawmakers propose to require residents buy state park passes with vehicle registrations and increase many hunting and fishing license fees for the first time in more than a decade.
Bipartisan bills introduced Thursday, May 1 in the Michigan Senate would help remedy what officials say is a dire lack of lack of funding for wildlife conservation and fisheries, as well as a strained state park system.
