‘Very High’ fire risk stretches across Michigan

We’ve got a warm spring day ahead of us, so why is that dangerous? Because all the ingredients are lining up for a really high wildfire risk across the state right now.

A quick check of current conditions shows an elevated fire risk stretching across Michigan today, with much of the Lower Peninsula and some spots in the U.P. labeled as a “very high” wildfire risk area, according to a map shared by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
