Detroit mom vanished after 2020 Mother’s Day call, now man faces murder charges

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Keyvonte Deshawn Clark, 31, of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of Jessica Bedford, 24, also from Detroit.
Bedford was reported missing by her mother on May 30, 2020, and as of now, her body has not been located.
According to allegations, Clark fatally shot Bedford in May 2020 at his home in the 12000 block of Cloverlawn Street. It is further alleged that he disposed of her body at another location.
The Michigan State Police conducted an investigation that led to Clark’s arrest on April 16, 2025.
He faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, mutilation of a dead body, felon in possession of a firearm, and felony firearm.
