Waterfalls, winery B&B, museum + coffee stops: Pure Michigan shares spring ‘Slow Travel’ gems
—
When it comes to relaxing travel ideas, maybe it’s a good thing that our state is so wonderfully large, and split into two pieces. The hundreds of miles of highways and back roads that stretch across both Michigan’s peninsulas just mean we have more places to explore – and more opportunity to settle in and stay awhile.
That’s the message of “Slow Travel” that Pure Michigan, our state’s tourism arm, is talking up for 2025. Slow Travel is all about being able to get comfortable in a town, a region – or just your favorite camping area – and really relish being in one place for a little while.
