AAA: Michigan gas prices slide 7 cents from last week

DEARBORN, Mich. (WLUC) – AAA of Michigan reports the state average is back on the decline this week, but only slightly, falling 7 cents from a week ago.
Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $3.10 per gallon for regular unleaded gas. This price is 12 cents more than this time last month, but still 52 cents less than this time last year. The national average sits 6 cents higher than the state at $3.16 per gallon.
Motorists are paying an average of $46 for a full 15-gallon tank of gas, a discount of about $11 from 2024′s highest price last July.
According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gasoline demand decreased from 8.81 b/d to 8.64 b/d. Total domestic gasoline supply decreased from 240.6 million barrels to 239.1. Gasoline production decreased, averaging 9.2 million barrels per day.
