Liquidation sales have begun at Forever 21 locations nationwide as the fast fashion retailer is rumored to be heading toward a second bankruptcy filing since 2019. While the company has not confirmed specific locations that are shuttering or that bankruptcy proceedings will begin soon, numerous local news reports have confirmed certain locations are closing.

Forever 21 first filed for bankruptcy in 2019 before it was acquired by a retail consortium in 2020 that stopped planned liquidations. However, USA Today reports Forever 21 has struggled to remain competitive with Chinese online discount retailers like Shein and Temu.
