‘We got another one’: Michigan customers seeking restitution from same contractor discover he’s being charged in Ohio

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo contractor has been accused of and indicted for some allegedly shady business practices. Jared Sailer is facing nine counts of felony theft and one count of felony grand theft in Ohio for allegedly stealing from a customer.
When Kevin Wexler saw Sailer on 13 Action News, his reaction was simple.
“I just looked at it and said ‘Yep, we got another one,’” Wexler said.
He recognized Sailer as being the same contractor he hired back in 2019. When Wexler told Sailer he wasn’t satisfied with the work he’d done, noting he was chipping the wood as he replaced the flooring, Wexler said the contractor ended up abandoning the job without returning the money.
