Former Michigan State DL could go Day 1 after flashing versatility at Oregon
—
INDIANAPOLIS — Derrick Harmon, a Michigan native and former Michigan State defensive starter, said his tough decision to leave home for Oregon was one of the toughest decisions he’s ever made.
But Harmon said from the NFL combine his decision to transfer is one he felt he had to make, and it showed him how to become a professional while being himself. Harmon is a big, athletic interior defender at 6-foot-5, 310 pounds. He broke out with five sacks and 11 tackles for loss during his lone season at Oregon, and has made his name one to watch in a deep defensive line class.
