CROSWELL, MI – Michigan Sugar Co. has addressed an equipment malfunction at its Croswell facility that caused sugar beet pulp dust to migrate beyond the plant’s boundaries.
The issue occurred as the Bay County-based company began its 2025 harvest and annual sugar beet processing campaign, officials said. The malfunction involved the facility’s sugar beet pulp drying equipment, resulting in dried pulp dust spreading off site.
