Hazy conditions are hanging on: Wildfire smoke continues to impact Michigan’s air quality
—
We’re now in a beautiful summer weather pattern in Michigan that’s expected to last for the next week. Daytime highs will be in the 70s to low 80s. It will be cooler in the mornings and evenings. Very little rain is in the forecast – OK, maybe that’s not great for our gardens.
But that Canadian wildfire smoke is still hanging around, which is tanking our air quality. The hazy sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, but the smoke is so heavy in the air at times that you can actually taste it when you’re outside. And our wind pattern is going to keep that smoky haze locked in our skies for the next couple of days, according to the National Weather Service.
