Trump commits federal funds for Northern Michigan ice storm damage, Whitmer says

MICHIGAN — President Donald Trump has committed federal funds to help Northern Michigan recover from a March 29 ice storm that caused severe damage in Northern Michigan.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced late Tuesday, July 22, on Facebook that she had “received word from President Trump directly, committing federal funds to help Northern Michigan communities impacted by the historic ice storm damage earlier this year.”
